Undergraduate Program

The program includes two groups of courses: the foundation courses and the professional courses. Undergraduates must complete a minimum of 128 credit hours in four academic years in order to graduate. Of the above 128 hours, 55 hours are the professional courses required, 43 hours are the professional courses elective, and 30 hours are general education courses required. Students in the program are required to complete at least 28 credits awarded by the elective courses offered by the department of E-learning Design and Management. No more than 15 credits awarded by institutes outside of the department can be computed into the professional courses elective credits.

1.To cultivate students’ specialty on e-learning design
2.To facilitate students’ practical competence on developing e-learning material
3.To train students with knowledge and skill on project management and technology implementation
4.To enhance students ‘active attitude toward learning and equip students with team work ability

Characteristics
1.Definite Curriculum and Diversity
The curriculum meets the development of our faculty. The undergraduate program focuses on basic theories and professional competence, while the graduate program emphasizes on academic theories and research competence. These two programs are strongly related and consistent on account of considering students’ future career.

2.Complete Integration of Educational Technology and E-learning
Our faculty has established for more than seven years. We have a well-rounded group of faculties from educational technology area and its related areas. Based on medium-long term plan of our university, the Department of E-learning Design and Management was established in August, 1996. Our faculty has integrated the original specialty in educational area with new digital technology. For conforming to the national guiding principle of digital industry, our faculty comprises elements of design, development, application, evaluation, research, and innovation.

3.Precise Direction Meets the Needs of Human Resource for Domestic Industry
Due to the diversity of enterprises, it is critical to strengthen employees’ professional competence. E-learning is the key for assisting employees to adjust themselves in the unsteady surroundings. Thus, our faculty sets five targets as our direction: design, development, implementation, management, and evaluation. Besides, there are three core courses which consist of digital technology, curriculum design, and technology management. These directions cater to the needs of human resource domestically.

4.Collocating with National Guiding Principle and Meeting the International Trends
Following the national guiding principles such as e-Taiwan, M-Taiwan, and U-Taiwan, our faculty aims to cultivate talented students who can develop creative learning environment, digital art, and digital content.

4-2 Competence of problem-solving, professional ethics, social cares, and daily-life skill
 
Requirements
1.A minimum of 128 credit hours in four academic years in order to graduate.
2.Of the above 128 hours, 55 hours are the professional courses required, 43 hours are the professional courses elective, and 30 hours are general education courses required.
3.Students in the program are required to complete at least 28 credits awarded by the elective courses offered by the department of E-learning Design and Management.

Note:
1.No more than 15 credits awarded by institutes outside of the department can be computed into the professional courses elective credits.
2.Over credits hours in general education cannot be counted as total credits.
