High school students are welcome to visit the College of Management and explore possibilities for future careers. NCYU Plays a Key Role in Cultivating Top Business Management Talents
The College of Management, National Chiayi University, was founded in 1990, when the university was formed by the merging of Chiayi Junior Teachers College and National Chiayi Institute of Technology. The educational philosophy is to discover the potential in each student, who will become a management professional with skills and ethics. With special focus on “student learning effect,” it is dedicated to encouraging independent and critical thinking in the students, who, with a broad vision, see serving others as their life purpose. The college consists of the Department of Business Administration, Department of Applied Economics, Department of Bio-industry and Agribusiness Administration, Department of Management Information Systems, Department of Banking and Finance, Department of Marketing and Tourism Management, College of Management Executive MBA Program, which is an in-service master’s program, and Global Master Program of Tourism and Management. As a highly integrated college, the college places equal emphasis on humanistic literacy, professional knowledge and ability to apply tools. It provides students with foreign language training, and interdisciplinary programs and employment-oriented courses to enhance students’ competitiveness in the job market.

To enhance students’ competitiveness, the incumbent and former deans of the College of Management have been proactive to integrate on- and off-campus resources, seek research grants, and offer case-based counseling and diagnosis services. In terms of educational mission, the college is devoted to building the core competencies of the students, and enhancing their theoretical and practical competency, and thus competitiveness in the job market. By means of integrating abundant resources of the college, the departments bring in synergy through teaching and curriculum planning, with a view to strengthening academic-industrial cooperation.
