Statistics(I)

This introductory course covers three portions of statistics, namely, how to generate data, how to integrate and present data, and how to make statistic inference. In the first semester, the specific topics touched upon include: graphical and numerical descriptive statistics, probability distributions for simple experiments and random variables, sampling distributions, and confidence intervals. Students are expected to master problem solving using both manual computations and statistical software when finishing the course.
