Foreign students at National Chiayi University must pass the Chinese graduation threshold before they can graduate.
本校外籍生具備下列條件之一者，得向語言中心提出申請認證，取得華語能力畢業資格：
Foreign students in our school who meet one of the following conditions may apply to the language center for certification and obtain a Chinese Language Proficiency Graduation Qualifications:
一、通過國家華語測驗推動工作委員會之「華語文能力測驗Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language（TOCFL）」基礎級測驗。
二、選修實用華語Ⅰ、實用華語Ⅱ、實用華語Ⅲ、實用華語Ⅳ、進階華語Ｉ、進階華語Ⅱ等至少2門課，且修業成績達80分以上。
三、自費修讀語言中心的華語推廣班密集課程 180 小時，參與本課程之學生，缺、曠課時數不得超過全部課程五分之一，超過者將不發給修業證明書。修業證明可抵免華語能力畢業資格檢定。
1. Pass the level 2 of "Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL)" of Steering Committee for the Test Of Proficiency-Huayu.
2. Take at least 2 elective courses such as Practical Chinese I, Practical Chinese II, Practical Chinese III, Practical Chinese IV, Advanced Chinese I,Advanced Chinese II, and achieve a score of 80 or above.
3. Students who study the 180-hour intensive course of the Chinese language promotion class at the language center at their own expense. Students participating in this course shall not miss more than one-fifth of the total course hours. Students who exceed the limit will not be issued a certificate of completion. The academic certificate can be used as a credit for the graduation qualification test of Chinese proficiency.
