OUR LABORATORY’S GOAL


Our laboratory aims to develop compounds for facilitating crop tolerance to various abiotic stresses focusing mainly on heat and salt stresses. 


TEACHING COURSES


Undergraduate: Plant Physiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Plant Nutrition, Floriculture.


Graduate: Orchidology, Special Topics on reading and Writing Scientific Papers, Special Topics on Plant Molecular Biology.


LAB INDUCTION


Our research goal is focusing on study of molecular mechanism of plant cells responding to abiotic stress and biotic stress. We emphasize using molecular biology tools to do diagnosis of plant performance in field and apply this information to improve crop quality. Currently, we are working on the following subjects: (1) Application of elicitors on Phalaeonopsis orchid to improve disease resistance and growth vigor in field treatment or shipping process. (2) Effects of LED light in regulation of Oncidum orchid growth activity and flowering, and in improvement of tissue culture quality of Phalaenopsis orchid. (3) Molecular mechanism of soybean peptide in promoting plant growth and evaluation of effects of soybean peptide in field treatment.
