國立嘉義大學為迎接2025學年度的新生，國際處特別規劃於8月30日及8月31日舉辦接機與新生採購活動，讓來自不同地區的同學在抵達台灣後立即感受到學校的用心與溫暖，並順利展開嶄新的大學生活。8月30日，學校安排專車前往機場接送，依新生分配的校區宿舍，包括民雄、新民、進德樓及蘭潭等地，分批送達。校方更動員僑外生幹部及學長姐隨行，協助行李搬運、宿舍安置及相關疑問解答。過程中，服務團隊不僅提供實際支援，也透過親切的互動讓初來乍到的新生倍感安心。許多同學表示，雖然遠離家鄉，但在嘉大的第一天就感受到家的氛圍與熱情歡迎，讓他們對即將展開的學習生活充滿期待。緊接著在8月31日，國際處安排僑外生輔導員與幹部帶領新生前往大賣場進行日常用品採購。活動過程中，學長姐們分享生活經驗，協助同學挑選必需品，從寢具、盥洗用品到簡易收納工具一應俱全。這不僅讓新生能快速建立舒適的生活環境，更透過群體採購與交流，增進彼此認識，並建立起同學與師長之間的信任。透過持續貼心的生活輔導與協助措施，期盼幫助新生減輕適應壓力，並安心投入學業。迎新活動不僅是實際的支持，更展現嘉大重視學生福祉的精神。
To welcome the incoming students of the 2025 academic year, the Office of International Affairs at National Chiayi University has specially planned airport pickup and shopping activities on August 30 and 31. These events aim to help students from different regions feel the university’s care and warmth upon arriving in Taiwan, allowing them to smoothly embark on their new college life.On August 30, the university arranged shuttle buses to pick up new students from the airport and deliver them to their assigned dormitories, including Minxiong, Xinmin, Jinde, and Lantan, in groups. Student leaders and senior overseas students accompanied the service teams to assist with luggage handling, dormitory check-in, and answering questions. The service team not only provided practical support but also reassured new students through warm and friendly interactions. Many students expressed that, although they were far from home, they felt a homelike atmosphere and a warm welcome on their very first day at NCYU, which made them look forward to their upcoming campus life.On August 31, the Office of International Affairs arranged for international student counselors and student leaders to accompany the newcomers to a supermarket for daily necessities shopping. During the activity, the seniors shared their living experiences and guided the students in selecting essential items, from bedding and toiletries to simple storage tools. This not only enabled new students to quickly create a comfortable living environment but also encouraged bonding and trust-building among peers and between students and faculty through group shopping and interaction.Through ongoing thoughtful guidance and support measures, the university hopes to ease the newcomers’ adjustment pressure and help them focus on their studies with peace of mind. The orientation activities provide not only practical support but also embody NCYU’s dedication to student well-being.
