To welcome new international students for the new semester and promote cross-cultural exchange, the Office of International Affairs held the “Welcome Party & ISA Meeting” on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Lantan Campus. The event, organized by the Office of International Affairs and co-organized by the ISA Student Association, attracted nearly twenty international students from Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and other countries, creating a lively atmosphere. During the event, a representative from the Career Development Center gave a briefing on “Study Regulations in Taiwan,” helping students better understand academic and campus rules. Subsequently, a representative from the Chiayi City Police Department delivered an engaging presentation on “Traffic Safety, Fraud Prevention, and Campus Security,” raising students’ awareness of personal safety in Taiwan. In addition, the ISA officers prepared several ice-breaking games to encourage interaction between new and returning students, who all expressed great enjoyment. The final part of the event was the ISA leadership election, presided over by the current ISA president, Fatma. The meeting included discussions and elections for upcoming semester activities, such as the off-campus visit in April, the multicultural experience event in May, and the end-of-semester farewell party. The event encouraged students to actively participate in campus affairs, demonstrate leadership and teamwork, and create memorable experiences during their studies in Taiwan.
2025.10.17 ISA Welcome Party
為了歡迎新學期的外籍學生並促進跨文化交流，本處於2025年10月17日（星期五）晚間18:00至21:00，在蘭潭校區舉辦「Welcome Party & ISA Meeting」。本次活動由國際事務處主辦，ISA學生會協辦，共有來自越南、印尼、泰國、菲律賓及其他國家的外籍學生近二十人參與，場面熱絡。藉此也邀請職涯發展中心老師進行「在台學習規範」簡報，協助學生了解學習及校園規定。隨後，嘉義市警察局代表以生動的案例講解「交通安全、詐騙防治及校園安全」等議題，讓同學更加重視在台生活的安全意識。此外，幹部們也很精心準備不同的破冰遊戲讓新生與舊生有更多的互動，同學表示當天非常開心。最後一環為ISA幹部推選會議，則由ISA應屆會長Fatma主持，針對接下來本學期即將舉辦的活動如: 四月的校外參訪、五月的異國文化體驗活動，以及期末的歡送會等進行討論與推選，鼓勵學生主動參與校園事務，展現領導力與合作精神，留下求學期間的美好回憶。
