荷爾蒙訊息傳遞對植物發育影響之研究

先前研究中指出,高等植物細胞與細胞間之相互作用主要受到小分子親脂性化合物之調控。直到現在,有越來越多研究顯示胜分子也會對植物的發育造成影響,如防禦反應、癒合組織的生長、頂端分生組織的構型組成、自體不和合、根部組織之生長、葉形調控、根瘤發育及組織剝落等。阿拉伯芥基因組的完整定序結果顯示此種植物較他種已定序完成的生物具有超過十倍以上不同的胜傳送分子;相較於人類已知約有近58 種receptor-like kinase (RLK),植物則可能具有超過400 種的RLK,而阿拉伯芥的RLK 中則包含超過210種lucine rich repeat-receptor likekinases (LRR-RLKs) 的基因;LRR domain 已知主要扮演蛋白質- 蛋白質或蛋白質- 胜間的相互作用。有鑑於此發現,植物目前被預期應含有極大數量的訊息傳遞胜及相對應的受器並在植物發育過程中扮演極重要的角色。這些胜荷爾蒙透過細胞膜上之LRR-RLKs 的相互作用,活化下游之訊息傳導路徑。然而目前僅有少量的植物訊息胜被發現,有鑑於此,我們將整合並發展找尋參與植物發育上的重要訊息傳遞胜以及perceptive receptors 之研究平台,並結合蛋白質體學技術研究訊息傳遞的路徑,此研究成果將能提供植物胜荷爾蒙功能更詳盡之過程,並且能加以區分動植物間胜訊息傳導路徑的相似處及差異點。藉此訊息傳遞路徑網的建立,幫助我們改善植物對病原的抵抗力、抗壓力及其他發育功能的提升。

建立高效表現蛋白質體學及代謝體學之技術

與疾病相關之生物標記可用來作為研究疾病之形成機制,並以此建立早期診斷標準及後續治療策略的擬定。目前質譜技術的發展已大為提高白質體及代謝體的特性研究。我們期望藉由質譜儀的分析,建立可應用於找尋與疾病相關之生物標記之蛋白質體及代謝體研究技術,並以此技術發展普及且廣泛的疾病相關研究平台,以期最終能作為研究具潛力之治療藥物上一有力工具。
